Rodney Hunt Named to Elite Fed 100 List
6/18/2004

award-ribbon-red RSIS President and CEO Rodney P. Hunt has been named to the annual Federal 100, a list of 100 leaders who had a substantial impact on the government IT community in 2003.

Chosen by a special committee named by Federal Computer Week, the list also includes John Gilligan, Air Force Chief Information Officer; Jack London, CACI international CEO; Kim Nelson, Environmental Protection Agency Chief Information Officer, and Lt. Gen. Harry Raduege, Director of Defense Information Systems Agency.

"It's an honor to join such a prestigious group," Hunt said. "The award reflects the substantial success RSIS enjoyed last year, breaking new ground for small businesses in the federal IT marketplace. It started with the DOE ITISS contract, which we won early in the year, and continued through a series of substantial contracts with a range of federal agencies."

Federal Computer Week said the key criterion for selection to the Federal 100 is impact.

According to Federal Computer Week, "Judges look for someone who has made a noticeable difference in an agency or in the community at large. In some cases, people make a difference by going above and beyond their job descriptions to ensure that a project succeeds. Or they make their mark through innovation" coming up with new and better ways of tackling perpetual challenges.

"One of the most difficult aspects of the judges' job is narrowing the field to the final 100. A tremendous amount of good work goes on across the community, in government and in industry, all of which deserves recognition. Tough choices are impossible to avoid. We appreciate the care and discernment that this year's judges brought to the table."

The judges included Barry West, Chief Information Officer, Federal Emergency Management Agency; David Wennergren, Chief Information Officer, Department of the Navy; Patrick Schambach, Assistant Administrator for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, Transportation Security Administration; and Olga Grkavac, Executive Vice President, Enterprise Solutions Division, Information Technology Association of America.
