RSIS Is Largest Private Technology Services Firm in DC Area
RSIS’ position as a major employer in the Washington D.C. area is reaffirmed by the just-published Washington Business Journal Book of Lists for 2006.
RSIS is the largest privately-held technology services company based in the Washington, D.C. region and 26th on the list of private companies in all categories, according to the results of the magazine’s annual survey.
Among public and private companies, RSIS is the 17th largest technology employer, based on DC metro-area employees. At the top of the list are Northrop Grumman (20,600 metro-area employees), Lockheed Martin (15,000) and Booz Allen Hamilton (10,640). About 900 RSIS staffers work in the Greater DC area.
And based on revenues, Washington Business Journal ranks RSIS 9th among all systems integrators with operations in the DC area. Northrop Grumman heads this list as well.
“Surveys like these serve to show the balance in our business that has been a key ingredient in our success,” said Rodney P. Hunt, President and CEO. “About half of our employees work in the DC region, where there is, of course, a concentration of federal agencies. The other half of our professional workforce is spread throughout the country at the sites of our customers in Defense, NASA, Labor and other agencies.”
