RSIS moved up a notch this year to #35 on the closely-watched Washington Technology list of the 100 largest federal prime contractors of technology services nationwide. RSIS registered $347,028,000 in revenue for the 2005 federal fiscal year. 

In the specific federal product service codes that cover IT services (as opposed to telecommunications or engineering, for example) RSIS actually led all federal contractors on the annual list.

Noteworthy, too, was the company’s position, #16, in contract revenue from civilian agencies of the federal government. RSIS’ revenue from the civilian sector was listed as $267,190,000.

 From the defense sector, the company’s revenue was recorded as $79,838,000. (Revenue from RSIS Science and Engineering Department contracts with NOAA and NASA are included in the civilian sector number)

“Once again we rose on the Top 100 list based solely on revenues from contracts we won and not from the automatic revenue boost that comes from acquiring other companies,” said Rodney P. Hunt, RSIS President and CEO. “This adds substantially to our achievement in the Top 100.”

Leading the Top 100 list were Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and SAIC, General Dynamics and Computer Sciences Corp.
