Wyle IS Selected for State Quality Award 10/10/2006
Wyle Information Systems has been awarded a Certificate for Commitment to Performance Excellence from the U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Award for Virginia (SPQA).
SPQA is Virginia's premier quality awards program. Its criteria are based on the internationally known Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation's highest honor for performance excellence and quality achievement.
The Certificate is provided to organizations that have demonstrated sound approaches to performance excellence organization-wide. It follows submission of a 51-page application by Wyle IS and a two-day site visit by a team of SPQA examiners.
Judi Niedercorn, Senior Director of Quality Improvement Office (which led the application effort), said she is making plans for us to advance higher within the three tiers of SPQA awards. She said the process provides us not only with opportunities for recognition but also, together with the company’s ISO 9001:2000 initiative, is a world-class tool for continuous improvement and business success.
